Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma instructed the Chief Secretary of the state government to direct all state government’s departments to dispose off pending applications before April 15 this year.

Reviewing the State Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) portal in a meeting with Industries & Commerce department and NIC officials in Guwahati, the Assam Chief Minister asked NIC to improve the portal with an inbuilt SMS alert system and asked the departments to withdraw unnecessary compliance burden from the portal.

“The single service delivery platform developed by NIC provides 463 G2B/G2G services covering state government’s 21 departments,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

He also instructed the Chief Secretary of the state government to regularly monitor EoDB portal and constitute a regulatory and appellate authority for aggrieved applicants.
