Eastern Air Command celebrates 87th Air Force Day in Shillong

Guwahati, Oct 9 (IBNS): Eastern Air Command celebrated 87th Air Force Day at Upper Shillong.

On the occasion Air Marshal R D Mathur, AOC-in-C administered the oath to all personnel of EAC.

In his message, AOC-in-C advised all personnel in Eastern Air Command area of operations ( AOR), to rededicate & remain committed towards service to the nation and IAF.

He reminded of the glorious past and acknowledged the valuable contribution of veterans, who have added to the rich legacy of IAF.

He appreciated the substantial contribution, commitment and regular display of professionalism by Air Warriors in providing humanitarian assistance, which has ensured the unflinching support of everyone in this region.

On the occasion, he distributed the Commendation Cards to deserving Air Warriors & civilians for their exceptional service and contribution to IAF.

Eastern Air Command is also celebrating its Diamond Jubilee this year.
