ECoR cancels 74 trains as Cyclonic storm Fani approaches Odisha coast
Bhubaneswar, May 01 (UNI) As extremely severe cyclonic storm Fani advances to Odisha coast, the East Coast Railways (ECoR) as a safety and security of passengers today cancelled 74 trains in first phase.
A release from ECoR said, train services between Bhadrak-vizianagaram to be stopped from evening of May 2 and the train passengers advised to plan their journey accordingly.
All inward train services towards Bhubaneswar/Puri will be restricted from late evening of May 2.
The East Coast express and Coromondal express will not run from Howrah on May 2 and trains for Puri from Howrah on May 2 night will be cancelled.
Similarly trains towards Bangalore, Chennai and Secunderabad from Howrah will be also cancelled on May 2 evening.
All trains from Puri and Bhubaneswar on May 3 also cancelled and all incoming trains touching Puri/Bhubaneswar on May 3 were also cancelled, the ECoR release said.
