Encounter underway between security forces and terrorists in Anantnag

Srinagar: An encounter between terrorists and security forces is currently going on at the outskirts of Anantnag area in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

"Encounter is in progress at the outskirts of #Anantnag. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice," Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.

According to reports, security forces have cordoned off the area.

The Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists are believed to be trapped in the residential property in the area reported Times Now.

A joint operation was launched by military and paramilitary forces.
