Gurugram/IBNS: Haryana Police has busted a fake pathology  that issued fake Covid test reports and arrested two people on Saturday from Sainikhera village of Gurugram's Sector 30, reported news agency ANI.

Both the accused hail from West Bengal and have been identified as Anirban Roy of Kolkata and Parimal Roy of Murshidabad, the report said.

The ANI report stated that Drug Controller Officer Amandeep Chauhan said that action was taken after Chief Minister's Flying Squad received complaints that fake Covid-19 test reports were being generated and people were using them to travel abroad.

The fake reports were being given to people for Rs 1400 to Rs 1300 for the last two months, Chauhan said, the report added.

People would get negative or positive reports by paying the amount to get leave or travel abroad.

Chauhan said some people travelled to the US using these fake negative certificates, the report informed.

According to the ANI report, Medikartz Pathology Lab and Medical Tourism were caught giving the forged reports to a false customer, after which it was learned that the lab has tied up with DYNEX Diagnostics. A team of the Chief Minister's Flying Squad raided their office and Anirban and Parimal were nabbed.
