FIR against Alagiri for encroaching temple land
Chennai, Aug 28 (IBNS): A First Information Report (FIR) was filed by the Madurai police against DMK chief M Karunanidhi’s son MK Alagiri on charges of grabbing a temple land using forged documents, reports said.
Sources said the Dhaya College of Engineering, an educational trust headed by Alagiri, encroached upon 44 cents of land outside Madurai.
Alagiri is likely to seek an anticipatory bail on Thursday. However, sources close to him said that the charges were politically motivated.
