FIR lodged after objectionable video posted against BJP MLA on social media

Thane, Sep 11 (UNI): Police have registered an FIR against unidentified people for uploading defamatory video against BJP MLA from Thane district's Mira Bhayander Narendra Mehta on social media.

The FIR was lodged under sections 295, 298, 500 and 501 of the IPC, police said, adding that no arrests have been made so far.

Since September 9, a video depicting Lord Ganesh's aarti and pictures of programmes organised by Mehta, along with certain defamatory matter was going viral on social media.
