Four killed and several injured in a clash in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Oct 1 (IBNS): Four people were killed and several injured during a clash on Saturday between the police and people protesting the arrest of Congress legislator from Barkagaon in Jharkhand, according to media reports.

During the melee in Barkagaon police station area of Hazaribagh district, an Additional Superintendent of Police (Operations) and a Circle Officer were seriously injured after being abducted and assaulted by the mob, reported The Indian Express.

Nirmala Devi was allegedly leading a protest against a coal mining project for an NTPC power plant, reported the local media.
