New Delhi, May 4 (IBNS) : Nearly ten days after 25 CRPF jawans were killed in a deadly ambush by Maoists in Chhattisgarh's Sukma, four people, believed to be involved in the attack, have been arrested, media reports said.

A  report in this regard has been sent by the CRPF to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The suspected Maoists, who have been arrested, include a juvenile.

CRPF's report said that  the four  suspects were arrested after a joint operation with Chhatisgarh police from Chickpal and Phoolbagri villages in Sukma district.

The suspects were later handed over to the state police.

"At least two of those arrested are believed to be hardcore PGLA members. Investigation is on to ascertain the role of the other two,"  CNN-News18 quoted a CRPF officer as saying.

PGLA or People's Guerrilla Liberation Army is the militia wing of CPI-Maoist and its Sukma wing is believed to be headed by one Hidma.

Eyewitness accounts had said 300 Naxals, mostly women had attacked the 74th battalion of CRPF on April 24.

Meanwhile, according to a report by The Times of India, security forces have recovered more than a dozen rms and 3,000 rounds of ammunition during anti-Naxal operations in neighbouring Jharkhand's Lohardaga district.

In the joint operation by CRPF and state police, a light machine gun (LMG), a semi-automatic US made rifle, an AK 47, a self loading rifle (SLR), three INSAS rifles, six other guns and some communication gadgets were seized from a hideout.
