Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ambika Soni on Jammu visit from Jan 16

Jammu/UNI: AICC General Secretary and In-charge of Jammu and Kashmir party affairs Ambika Soni, along with AICC General Secretary and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, will embark on a two-day visit to this winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir, from January 16.

A party spokesperson said here that AICC leaders are visiting the newly-formed Union Territory, to take stock of the current political and security situation.


"They will interact with senior party functionaries, including former Ministers and former Legislators, to take stock of current political and security scenario in the state," said the spokesperson.

He added that senior leaders from Jammu and Kashmir shall meet the AICC leaders and brief them about the prevailing scenario in Jammu and Kashmir.

A meeting of PCC Executive is also scheduled to be held during their stay, to discuss the current political development and roadmap for the party, he said.
