Gogoi slams PM, BJP, following his party member's exit

Guwahati, Apr 9 (IBNS) Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Saturday slammed the BJP and said it is a safe haven for corrupt people.

Gogoi's outburst came  following the exit of one of his party leaders, who reportedly joined the arch-rivals.

As Pramod Swamy, a former Congress leader joined the BJP on Saturday, the CM launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Modi and his party.

Speaking about PM's inaction in the Panama Papers row, the Assam CM said, "The PM is not taking action against those involved in Panama scam as many of those people are known to him."

"BJP party is a safe haven for corrupt people and black marketers. If one joins BJP, then all his crimes are absolved," a second tweet read.

Condemning the BJP brand of politics, he said, "BJP's politics is politics of conflict. We strongly condemn it."
