Gujarat: 9 killed in road accident in Vadodara

Vadodara, Nov 8 (IBNS): At least nine people, including eight from the same family, were killed in a road accident on Sunday night in Gujarat's Vadodara district, reports said.

The family was that of  Vikas Gehlot, a resident of Surat, who ran a garment business.

Upon his death, shop owners in Surat's Pandesara locality voluntarily closed their shops for a day in solidarity with the young businessman.

The incident took place when his SUV lost control and rammed another vehicle and a bus.

One of the women killed have been identified as Jhalak Shah.
