Gujarat need to vote BJP to destroy anti-development environment: Amit Shah

| @indiablooms | Dec 14, 2017, at 05:20 pm

Ahmedabad, Dec 14 (IBNS): After casting his vote in the second phase of Gujarat poll, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah on Thursday took a swipe at the Opposition saying the people of the state need to vote the saffron party to destroy the anti-development environment created in the state.

Interacting with media, Shah said: "The people (of Gujarat) need to vote the BJP to give pace to the Gujarat model."

Along with Shah, Union minister and BJP leader Arun Jaitley has also cast his vote.

The second and last phase of the poll is underway in 93 seats in north and central Gujarat.

Boasting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's powerful rhetoric, the BJP campaigned hard to stay in the power in Gujarat.

The Congress, which apparently gave a tough fight to the saffron party, has aligned with the Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) to take on the BJP in the state.

The Congress-PAAS alliance is eyeing on uproot the BJP from the power after 22 years.

Several opinion polls earlier suggested that the contest between the two largest political party of the country will be neck to neck.
