Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar, his cabinet resign amid BJP-JJP alliance differences

Chandigarh/IBNS: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and his cabinet tendered resignation on Tuesday, in a move towards splitting with its ally Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), media reports said.

Khattar and his cabinet have submitted resignation to Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, claim reports.

The alliance split is likely to take place amid differences over the BJP-JJP seat-sharing talks for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Though BJP is set to make a comeback in the government with the support of the Independents, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar is not sure of taking oath again.

Khattar may be fielded as a candidate for the Lok Sabha elections by the saffron party, some reports have claimed.

JJP, the party led by Dushyant Chautala, allied with BJP after the 2019 assembly elections.

In the last parliamentary elections, the BJP had won all 10 seats which were up for grabs in the state.
