Heroine worth Rs 40 lakh seized in Kolkata, 2 criminals with arms and ammunition arrested

Kolkata, Mar 15 (UNI) Heroine wroth Rs 40 lakh was seized while a man was about to deliver the white power weighing 700 gm, and elsewhere police arrested two arms dealers along with arms andammunition from Maidan area.

In another raid security forces seized 213 round of bullets of automatic weapons from West Bengal's Malda district, an information received here said.

Kolkata Police's narcotic cell following an input laid a trap late last night at Chitpur in central Kolkata and arrested Abid Sheikh, a resident from Murshidabad, with two plastic packs of heroine weighing 700 gm.

The arrest was made minutes before delivery the white drug to a den, which operates in underground selling drugs to schools and colleges in the city.

The arrest was made after the police got inputs from four drug paddlers, who have been rounded up from this city.

In another raid police arrested two dreaded criminals - Aneesh Ali and Rahesh Malik - and seized two automatic weapons and some bullets.

Rajesh was earlier convicted in a murder case at Chitpur.

In another raid Sikkim Sheikh was arrested and police seized 213 round of bullets of automatic weapons from Malda's Kaliachok area.
