Hizb militant arrested in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 5 (IBNS): Security forces have claimed to have arrested a Hizb Militant along with arms and ammunition in Shopian of south Kashmir on Monday.

Based on specific inputs, a joint search operation of Police, 62 RR and CRPF was launched in many areas of Shopian.

During the search operation, one local militant of Hizbul Mujahideen group was apprehended in Chotipora Village.

“Bilal Ahmad Sheikh, resident of Aglar Zahanpora was apprehended along with two Chinese pistols and other war like materials,” said a senior police official.

He further said, Sheikh was arrested in a well coordinated action by police and army. He was not allow to flee from the area.

Bilal was missing and had joined Hizbul Mujahideen outfit on Oct 5, 2016.
