Improving basic amenities to enhance quality of life in border villages: Deputy CM Mein
Itanagar/IBNS: Anurachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein stated that there is a focused attempt to enhance the standard of living of individuals residing in border villages by providing fundamental necessities.
The Deputy Chief Mnister addressed the C-20 consultative conference held by the Arunachal Pradesh chapter of the Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture at the banquet hall, as a part of India's G20 presidency, reported The Arunachal Times.
He mentioned that the state government is in collaboration with the Centre's efforts to quicken the progress of northeast India in a range of areas, such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, connectivity, digital communication, and financial management of state resources.
“The government’s objective is to achieve all-inclusive and equitable development across all regions and tribes,” he said.
Mein stated that the state's objective is to become the major contributor towards the Centre's target of attaining zero carbon emissions by 2047, by reducing the usage of fossil fuels.
Reiterating the importance of India's G20 presidency theme, "One Earth, One Family, One Future," Mein stressed the significance of integrating "diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect in a society to truly embody unity in diversity."
“To this effect, Arunachal Pradesh has long imbibed these vital aspects towards dwelling in peaceful coexistence and collectively advancing towards progressive heights,” he stated further.
Mein praised the insightful discussions of the subject matter experts and resource persons at the consultative conference on "Diversity, Inclusion, and Mutual Respect."
