New Delhi/IBNS: The fifth round of commander-level talks between India and China is scheduled to be held on Sunday to scale down the tension along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh which witnessed violent skirmishes on June 15.

The Commander-level talks will take place at 11 am in Moldo, which is the Chinese side of the Line of Actual Control.

According to media reports, the Indian side will stress on "complete disengagement" at the LAC.

India on Thursday informed that the disengagement process along the LAC in the Western sector has not yet completed.

On June 15, Patrol Point 14 in Galwan Valley witnessed a violent clash between the troops of both nations that led to the killing of 20 Indian soldiers.

On June 29, following marathon 11-hour talks between Indian and Chinese forces, both arrived at a "mutual consensus" on disengagement.

The agreement to disengage from the border areas was reached between the two Special Representatives, NSA and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, in their conversation on July 5.

Both sides agreed that early and complete disengagement of the troops along the Line of Actual Control and de-escalation from India-China border areas in accordance with bilateral agreement and protocols and full restoration of peace and tranquility was essential for smooth overall development of bilateral relations.

Since then there have been several rounds of diplomatic talks between two countries to ease the tension along the de facto border.
