India is developing next generation infrastructure by keeping in mind needs of 21st century: Modi

Muscat, Feb 12 (IBNS): Visiting Muscat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi pointed that his government is working to develop  next generation infrastructure in the country by keeping in mind the needs of 21st century.

"Next generation infrastructure is being developed in country keeping in mind the needs of 21st century," Modi said as he was addressed nearly 20,000 people who had gathered at the   Sultan Qaboos Stadium in Muscat on Sunday.

He said  Indian diaspora has played an essential role in strengthening Indo-Oman ties.

Modi said his government is following the policy of minimum government, maximum governance.

"With the mantra of minimum government, maximum governance, we are trying to make life easy for the people, emphasised PM Modi," Modi said.

Highlighting the new moves by his government, the Indian PM said poor are given life and safety insurance on just 90 paise per day and a premium of only 1 Rupee per month.

Modi arrived in Oman after completing his trip to the UAE.
