Wheeler Island,Odisha, Dec 26 (IBNS): India test fired Agni-V, an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) on Monday, reports said.

Agni V is nuclear capable and has a striking range of over 5000 kilometres.

"The test parameters of the missile, which was tested for its full range, are being evaluated. It will take some time to say whether it was a full success or not," an official was quoted as saying by the Times of India.

If the test results are successful, India will join the club of countries with ICMB's.

So far only the US, the UK, China, France and Russia possess ICMB.
