Indian President in Nepal: Visits Pashupatinath Temple, attends special convocation at Kathmandu University

New Delhi/Kathmandu, Nov 3 (IBNS): Indian President Pranab Mukherjee visited the famous Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu on Thursday, the second day of his three-day state visit to Nepal, according to media reports.

President Mukherjee was awarded Honorary Degree of D.Litt. by the Prime Minister of  Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is also the Chancellor of Kathmandu University, on Thursday.

On Thursday, former Prime Minister of Nepal,  Madhav Kumar Nepal, called on the Indian President, tweeted the Indian Embassy in Nepal.

The Indian President arrived in Nepal on Wednesday for his visit to the Himalayan kingdom at the invitation of the President of Nepal, Bidhya Devi Bhandari.

The presidents of both nations met on Wednesday, following which Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs tweeted, "Warm and cordial bilateral meeting between the Presidents of Nepal and India concluded in Sheetal Niwas."
