Is it low politics to question corruption, soldiers' beheading: Modi

Bettiah, Bihar, May 7 (IBNS) Addressing a rally in Bihar, BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi hit back at the Gandhis on Wednesday asking if questioning why Pakistan could behead Indian soldiers or why even in toilet paper buying there was scam in Commonwealth Games could be termed as low politics.

"Is it low politics or action to raise that even from toilet papers in the Commonwealth Games you make money. Is it low politics to raise the beheading of Indian soldiers by Pakistani troopers?" asked Modi at the rally.

"Nobody steals coal but these people did. Is such corruption Neech Rajneeti & Neech Karma or not. Our Jawans work hard but Pakistan cuts their heads and Delhi is silent, feeds Pakistan PM Biryani. Is this Neech Rajneeti and Karma," Modi said.

"I want to tell you what is Neech Rajneeti. When grains are allowed to rot, not given to poor and given to alcohol makers- its Neech Rajneeti. Our government is a government for the poor. We will work for the poor," said Modi

Earlier, reacting to BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's remarks that he was targetted for being born in a low caste, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said caste is never low but actions and thoughts can be so.

"Caste is not low, but action can be low. The thoughts can be low, thoughts can be propelled by anger," said Rahul Gandhi speaking to media in Amethi from where he is fighting the polls.

On Monday, Priyanka Gandhi, referring to Modi, had said in Amethi: "He is into 'neech rajniti'. For this, each and every polling booth in Amethi will take revenge."
