Jammu and Kashmir: Indian Army foils infiltration bid on LoC in Poonch

Jammu/UNI: Indian Army on Thursday night successfully foiled an infiltration attempt from Pakistani side on the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, a defence spokesperson said here on Friday.

He said that last night there was an infiltration attempt along LoC in Poonch Sector.

"The infiltration bid has been foiled by effective fire by own troops on own side of LOC," the spokesman said adding that no ceasefire violation has taken place.

Earlier on August 30, Army neutralised two terrorists and foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Poonch district.
