Jammu University VC releases Swachhta Pledge; distributes Kits

Jammu/UNI: Jammu University Vice Chancellor Prof Manoj K Dhar, in its resolve to carry forward the Gandhian thoughts and to commemorate the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation as Swachhta Pakhwada on Wednesday, released Swachhta Pledge and distributed safety kits among the health workers and security guards of the University of Jammu.

The Vice Chancellor said that Swachhta Pledge should be displayed at the prominent locations in the departments and the Centres so that teachers, staff, scholars, students and visitors are sensitized about the same so that it it gets ingrained in their lives for better outlook.

He also thanked the frontline warriors that includes Health Workers, Security Guards and others workers who remained at the forefront during the Lockdown period and Covid-19 Crisis.

Had they not been there like a wall, it would have been virtually impossible to persistently fight this pandemic which on day to day basis is taking heavy toll on the lives of citizens, said Prof Dhar.
