Janasanjog Yatra to start from Ghatal on June 21: Mamata

Hooghly, Jun 7 (UNI): Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee on Friday chaired a review meeting for Hooghly district, where she announced to hold similar meetings with various party representatives at Bijpur in North 24 Parganas district on June 14 and in Nadia district on June 21.

She also announced that from June 21, the Trinamool Congress would start statewide 'Janasanjog Yatras', to continue till July 18.

The first yatra will start from Chandrakona-Ghatal.

These yatras will take place in different routes like South Bengal (Bardhaman, Birbhum, Howrah, Hooghly), Sundarbans, North Bengal and Jangalmahal.

Mamata said Binoy Krishna Barman would be the new district president of the party in Cooch Behar.

She said district observers had already commenced their work.
