Jayalalithaa aide V K Sasikala hospitalised

Bengaluru/UNI: V K Sasikala, the close confidante of the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, was reportedly admitted to a state-run hospital in the city on complaints of fever and respiratory problems.

According to official sources, Sasikala, who is serving sentence in the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in the city, was rushed to the state-run Bowring and Lady Curzon hospital this afternoon.

Sasikala's condition is stable and she is recovering.

The sources also said that she was also tested for Covid-19 and result was awaited.

It may be recalled Sasikala, who was in prison in a Disproportionate Assets case, is awaiting her release.
