Jharkhand: 4 IPS, a dozen DSPs and more than 2000 police jawans deployed for Hemant's oath taking ceremony

Ranchi/UNI: The stage is all set for Chief Minister (Designate) Hemant Soren's oath taking ceremony as the 11th Chief Minister of Jharkhand in a grand function to be held at the historic Morhabadi Grounds of the state capital.

In view of the presence of a large number of VVIPs, including sitting and former Chief Ministers of various states and senior political leaders from across the country, the Jharkhand Police has made a full proof plan for security and traffic arrangements for the day. The security arrangements for the entire programme is being supervised by IG Naveen Kumar Singh.

The state police has deployed four IPS officers, 12 DSPs, 40 inspectors and more than 2000 jawans of the state police for security along with magistrates. Drone cameras will be deployed at the venue to keep an eye on the happenings in and around the area.

The district administration has issued 3000 passes for the oath taking ceremony which has been divided into four shades--white for the VVIPs, yellow for MPs and MLAs and their family members, blue passes for former MPs, MLAs and ex-cabinet ministers and green passes for other invitees.

To ensure smooth traffic flow through the entire day, the traffic police has devised a different plan,  which include traffic restrictions aound the venue and diversions for the movement of the VVIPs and their carcade.

At the venue different parking spots have been marked for parking of vehicles.

A total of three stages have been constructed at Morhabadi for the function. While on one stage the Governor will administer the oath to the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues, the other one will be for VVIPs and the third one will be for the MLAs. More than 10,000 people are expected to participate in the function.
