J&K: Two CRPF men killed as vehicle come under attack from stone pelters

Srinagar, Apr 4 (IBNS): Two CRPF men lost their lives after the official vehicle they were travelling was pelted with stones at Kokernag and then turn turtle on the road on Wednesday evening.

Official sources said that the driver lost his control over the vehicle after it was pelted with stones by protesters in Hillar area of Kokernag in South Kashmir.

The vehicle overturned, resulting into death of two personnel and injuries to a trooper and a policeman.

The deceased CRPF men were identified as Nazeer Ahmad of Kokernag and Farooq Ahmad of Verinag.

The injured CRPF trooper, identified as Roop Singh, was shifted to Srinagar for specialized treatment, said an official.

The injured policeman identified as Rayees Qamar of Sherpora in Anantnag.
