Bangalore, May 2 (IBNS) Karnataka Public Works Department (PWD) minister HC Mahadevappa has reportedly spent Rs 2.5 crore on the renovation of his house, said reports on Friday.

The action has drawn criticism of the state Governor HR Bhardwaj who took up the matter with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Bhardwaj reportedly told the CM that while the state is grappling with clean drinking water crisis this summer, the latter should not have allowed his minister to splurge on personal luxury.
