Karnataka poll results: BJP crosses half way mark, set to form government
Bengaluru, May 15 (IBNS): Demolishing the Congress in Karnataka, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are on the way to form the next state government on their own as the recent trends are predicting a clean sweep for the saffron outfit in the southern state.
According to the latest trends, the BJP is leading in 121 seats as against Congress' 57.
Janata Dal (Secular) is leading in 41 seats.
The majority mark in the 224-seat Assembly is 113.
Results of 222 seats will be declared on Tuesday.
Polling was not held in two seats on Saturday when people voted in the southern state to elect a new Assembly.
