Srinagar, July 30 (IBNS): A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan, who was on leave, has been shot dead by terrorists at his home in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, media reports said.

Naseer Ahmad Rather, who used to stay in Naira area of Pulwama, was killed by some unknown terrorists who stormed into his house and fired at him.

Rather reportedly had received injuries and was taken to a hospital but didn't survive.

A police official told NDTV that the area has been cordoned off and a search hunt has been launched to nab the assailants.

On July 21, constable Saleem Shah was abducted and killed by terrorists in South Kashmir's Kulgam area.

The constable was undergoing training in Kathua and was also on leave.

A month prior to Shah's death, a soldier was kidnapped and killed by terrorists in south Kashmir while he was on his way home to celebrate festival Eid al-Fitr.
