Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 26 (IBNS): In a blow to the CPI(M) led Left Democratic Front (LDF) Government in Kerala, state Transport Minister A.K. Saseendran has resigned after his alleged sexually explicit telephonic conversation with a woman was exposed by a TV channel.

According to The Hindu, Mangalam TV, owned by the Mangalam group of publications, came out with the audio clippings, marking the launch of its TV broadcasts.

Following the expose of the alleged sexually explicit conversation, Saeendran announced to resign.

He belongs to Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

However, the Minister has pleaded innocent and sought an impartial enquiry into the expose, media reports said.
