Kolkata: Bomb threat call triggers panic at Nabanna

Kolkata, Sept 9 (IBNS): Security has been beefed up at state secretariat Nabanna in Kolkata on Friday following a bomb threat call, reports said.

According to reports, Nabanna's control room received an anonymous call at around 9:22 am., where a mail voice threatened to explode the building at 2 pm. in the afternoon.

A heavy police force rushed to the spot and security in the building has been tightened.

Kolkata Police's bomb disposal squad, along with sniffer dogs, are conducting search operation there and no suspicious object has been found from the area so far.

Police have started investigation into the matter to trace the caller.

Earlier on Wednesday, three hoax calls triggered bomb scare at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International (NSCBI-CCU) airport in Kolkata.
