Kolkata: Fire breaks out at R. G. Kar Hospital, no casualty reported

Kolkata, Sept 5 (IBNS): A minor fire broke out in the government-owned R. G. Kar Medical College and Hospital in north Kolkata on Monday afternoon, reports said.

The  fire was first seen in a garbage basket on the second floor of the hospital's emergency building.

Two fire  engines rushed to the spot, when  staffers had  already doused the blaze using the  hospital's own fire extinguishing system.

No casualty was reported in the incident.

The Fire Department has  started an investigation into the incident.
