Kolkata, Jan 21 (IBNS): A local court in Kolkata on Thursday approved Kolkata Police's appeal to issue arrest warrant against former RJD MLA and allegedly TMC leader Md. Sohrab, whose younger son's speeding Audi car smashed down an Indian Air Force corporal- Abhimanyu Gaud (21)- during the Republic Day parade practice in Kolkata's Red Road on Jan 13.

After starting investigation into the case, police earlier issued lookout notice against Md. Sohrab, his elder son Ambia Sohrab, younger son and main accused in this case Sambia Sohrab and his two friends- Sanu and Johny.

However, Sambia, Sanu and Johny have been arrested and are in police custody. The rest two- Md. Sohrab and Amiba Sohrab- are still absconding.

To arrest the former MLA, police have issued the arrest warrant against him on Thursday.
