Kolkata, Aug 17 (UNI/IBNS): At least two Bangladeshi nationals were killed after a Kolkata Police kiosk collapsed on them after a Mercedes Benz, being hit by a Jaguar passenger vehicle, rammed into it on Saturday.

The incident occurred at Loudon Street area in the city at around 2 00 hours last night.

According to police, the deceased were identified as Kazi Mohammed Mainul Alam (36) and Farhana Rehana (33).

They had probably taken shelter under the Traffic Police kiosk to protect themselves from rains.

The Jaguar, which triggered the series of collisions, was running at a speed of over 100 kms/hr on wet road, sources said.

The victims were rushed to SSKM hospital for treatment.

The owner of the Jaguar abandoned the car and fled. It was not immediately known if the passengers inside the two cars sustained an injury.

Both the vehicles were damaged and were lying at the site of the accident.
