Kuki Students Organisation in Guwahati celebrates silver jubilee

Guwahati: The Kuki Students Organisation, Guwahati on Saturday celebrated silver jubilee after completion 25 years of the organisation here.

The organisation was formed in the year 1994 by the then students drawn from various parts of the Northeast India.

The event also welcomes the new students who have join various institutions in the capital city of Assam.

It may be recall that many of the students of this organisation have prospered in various fields of life in various parts of the country and serving in various department and ministry in the country.

The event was graced by IAS officer LS Changsan, DP Haokip, Lamhao Doungel and Dr  Lamkholal Doungel as Chief Guest, Chief Host, Guest of Honour and functional President respectively.

The event also witnessed various cultural performance by the student community. Many of the ex- members were also present on the occasion.

The students organisation has been actively involved in various activities for upliftment of the Students in the city.

The Chief Guest exhorted the students to excel in all spheres of life and to contribute for the development of the community.

She also asked the student community to lead a life of Discipline, obedient and to have perseverance and to do well not only in studies but develop skills and explore avenues  in other employment areas  and contribute to the society.
