Lightening kills 21 in Odisha and Jharkhand

New Delhi, July 31 (IBNS): At least 21 people were killed in massive lightening in the states of Odisha and Jharkhand, media reports said on Monday.

According to reports, eighteen people were killed in  Odisha and three died in Jharkhand.

This comes as several parts of the country have been hit by severe floods.

Most of the victims, who were struck by lightening, were working in fields.

The national meteorological department warned of more lightning storms on Tuesday.

Torrential rains have created havoc in most parts of the country and Odisha has been badly hit by floods.
