Locals protest before police station over murder of youth

Hajipur/UNI:  Enraged over the murder of a youth, locals today protested before Raja Pakar police station demanding immediate arrest of culprits involved in the incident in Vaishali district.

Police said here that one Manish Kumar, native of Bhulai village under Raja Pakar police station area, was returning home when criminals opened fire killing him on the spot late last night. They managed to escape after the incident, police added.

Enraged over the murder of the youth, locals protested before Raja Pakar police station to vent their ire. They damaged a police vehicle parked in Raja Pakar police station premises.

Protestors were demanding immediate arrest of culprits and they withdrew their agitation after senior officials assured them of stern action against those involved in the incident. An FIR in this connection had been registered, police said adding that raids were being carried out to nab the criminals.
