Lok Sabha polls: Bengal BJP to lodge complaint with EC against alleged rigging

New Delhi, Apr 29 (IBNS): The West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be lodging a complaint with the Election Commission against the alleged rigging and discrepancies in voting during the fourth phase of Lok Sabha polls.

A BJP delegation led by state leaders Jay Prakash Majumder and Sishir Bajoria shall meet the CEO, West Bengal at 3 pm.

Violence in Asansol

BJP's Asansol candidate Babul Supriyo's car was vandalised outside a polling booth. A clash between the ruling Trinamool and BJP also broke out in the constituency.

Supriyo later alleged that the Trinamool Congress men are influencing voters by standing near the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in Jamuria.

"Jamuria Assembly : Booth 171, 223, 224, 199, TMC standing near EVM and influencing voters" Supriyo tweeted.
