Looking forward to working with new Indian government, German Foreign Office posts on X congratulating over successfully conducting Lok Sabha polls

The German government has praised India for conducting the seven-phased Lok Sabha election which ended on Saturday.

Germany said it is looking forward to work with the new government in India.

Congratulating people of India, the German Foreign Office posted on X: "Congratulations to the Indian people for successfully concluding the world’s largest democratic #elections – we are looking forward to working with India’s new government and to taking our cooperation with #India to the next level."

India voted to elect a new Parliament in seven phases this time.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is eyeing to return to power for the third straight term which is a rare event in India's political system.

The key battle is against an alliance of opposition parties named INDIA.
