LS: V.S. Sampath visits Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu, Apr 3 (IBNS) Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Chief Election Commissioner of India V.S. Sampath visited Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.


He was accompanied by Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi and Deputy
Election Commissioner Vinod Zutshi.

They started their visit by meeting the representatives of recognized national and state political parties.

The Commissioner held a series of meetings with the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Special DGP and Home Commissioner.

 The Commissioner also held a detailed meeting with the Returning Officers/DEOs and SSPs regarding the election preparedness and obtained the necessary feedback about the election preparedness and other related issues.
