Magnitude 7.5 earthquake hits Peru
Lima, May 26 (Sputnik): A 7.5 magnitude earthquake hit northern Peru on Sunday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.
According to USGS, the tremors occurred at 1311 hrs.
The epicenter was located 83 kilometres (52 miles) south-east of Lagunas District in the Alto Amazonas Province.
The focus of the earthquake was at a depth of 105 kilometres.
There have been no immediate reports about damage or casualties caused by the quake.
