New Delhi, Feb 2 (IBNS):  With the country gearing up for the Lok Sabha polls, Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in New Delhi on Friday.

It seems that the meeting took place by keeping in mind the formation of the proposed grand alliance of opposition parties before the national elections.

Sharing an image of the meeting, Naidu tweeted: "Met with @ArvindKejriwal ji at his residence today."

Kejriwal said his AAP will fight together with Naidu and other opposition parties in the upcoming polls against Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party.

"It was great meeting @ncbn ji today. We will all fight together against Modi govt," tweeted Kejriwal.

Lok Sabha polls is scheduled this year.

Naidu had met several opposition leaders last year over the alliance formation issue.
