Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday expressed his gratitude towards the Centre for accepting his demand to vaccinate all citizens above 45 years.

The demand was made by Thackeray at a recent virtual meeting of Chief Ministers with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Now that this demand has been met, vaccination will get a boost in the state," sources said.

Maharashtra is the worst pandemic-hit state in the country with daily cases currently ranging between 25,000 to 30,000.
