Maharashtra: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut detained by ED under PMLA
Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut was detained by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) after interrogation of more than nine hours at his residence.
ED was camping at Sanjay Raut's house since Sunday morning.
Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has already given his reaction to the ED investigation of Sanjay Raut.
He had predicted the possibility of Raut being arrested.
The ED officials took Raut to the ED office.
Hundreds of Shiv Sainiks have gathered at Raut's house since morning to support him.
A heavy police bandobast was made in the surrounding areas.
The ED team had entered the house of Shiv Sena leader and MP at 7:00 am and interrogated him in connection with the Patra Chawl case.
Shiv Sena leaders told UNI over phone that due to unlawful action of ED, a large number of Shiv Sainiks have gathered outside Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray's Matoshree residence, as well as the house of Sanjay Raut since morning, waiting for the instructions of their leaders.
