Mann Ki Baat: PM Modi wishes nation on Rath Yatra, Eid; urges for cleaner India

New Delhi, June 25 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the nation through his monthly radio broadcast 'Mann ki Baat' where he wished citizens on Rath Yatra and Eid.


He also spoke about how India and rest of the world celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21st.

"My dear countrymen, every Indian today is proud and holds head high. 21st June 2017- Yoga has permeated the entire world," PM Modi said.

"On 21st June, the rays of the sun were welcomed with people practising Yoga," said he.

He also noted how yoga was practiced on the Great Wall of China.

Modi said the country is working together for a clean India.

"We know tremendous hard work is required to achieve anything worthwhile whether it is in one's own life or for society," said he.

The PM said that the movement to clean India is a mass movement.

"It is no longer restricted to the government's alone. Habits take a long time to change," said he.

PM Modi also urged nation to indulge in sustained efforts to inculcate habits that promote cleanliness.
