MEA announces new envoys to Russia, UAE, Spain

New Delhi/UNI: The Ministry of External Affairs on Monday announced a slew of new postings, naming Pavan Kapoor, currently the Indian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, as the next envoy to Russia.

Sunjay Sudhir, the Indian High Commissioner in the Maldives, has been appointed as the next Ambassador to the UAE.

In another appointment, Dinesh K. Patnaik, currently the Director General, Indian Council for Cultural Relations, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Spain.

D. Bala Venkatesh Varma, who was Ambassador to Russia, has retired.
