MIA bomb incident: Accused taken to crime spot

Mangaluru/UNI:  The investigating team of Karnataka Police on Friday took the accused, arrested in connection with the recovery of explosives at the Mangaluru International Airport on January 20, to the crime spot, for investigation.

The accused, identified as Aditya Rao, was arrested in Bengaluru on Wednesday and brought to Mangaluru on the same day. On Thursday 23, he was produced before the court, which sent him to Police Custody for 10 days.

Aditya explained to the investigation team, how he had planted the explosive device at the Airport.

He also explained about his entry to the airport and showed the place, where he had planted the explosive device. After placing the explosive at the Airport, Aditya had fled from the exit gate.

Later, the team, led by ACP Belliyappa, took Aditya to the Saloon, where he had kept his other bag. He was taken to the Kudla restaurant and Karkala also, where he had worked before committing the crime.
