Mild quake felt in some parts of Bengal and Jharkhand

Kolkata, May 26 (UNI): A mild tremor with a magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter Scale hit some parts of Jharkhand and West Bengal on Sunday.

The quake-hit places included Giridih, Jamtara and Dumka in Jharkhand and Bankura, Purulia, Durgapur and Burdwan in Bengal.

The earthquake hit Bankura at 10:39 AM.

At the same time, it was felt at Giridih, Jamtara and Dumka in Jharkhand.
